The sensor is an infrastructure free, self–configuring and energy efficient product to monitor the count of people entering or leaving at entrances & exits of Supermarkets, Retail Stores, Washrooms, Public Transport, Meeting Rooms or any room or building in general. Data from these sensors have wide applicability across a range of use cases – ‘Business Planning, Energy Optimization, Space Utilization, Security, Washroom Usage’…. to name a few.
The Inferrix People Count Sensors are self-communicating, creating an autonomous mesh network, and have a very small footprint. They have dual power sources, ‘Battery & 5V Power’.
The deployment of the sensors is almost cable free and can be done in minutes/hours. All that needs to be done is to stick the sensors in the appropriate position and turn them ON and they are ready to go. Sensors can be added or taken away at will. The network re-configures without any break in coverage, subject only to distance restrictions. The sensors send information to the Inferrix Gateway or any other Inferrix Controller (for instance the Inferrix Lighting Controller to Switch On/Off lights), over the wireless mesh network they create. The Inferrix Gateways can then send information from these sensors to the cloud via WAN / GPRS connectivity.
